Job Summary

Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district instructional program within elementary math, establishing a coherent vision aligned to HQIM and student achievement goals. Support campuses in strengthening Tier 1 instruction through standards-aligned planning, rigorous practices, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials. Collaborate with campus leaders and teachers via instructional coaching, modeling, feedback cycles, and PLC support to ensure aligned instructional practices across grade levels. Analyze formative and summative student performance data to identify trends, monitor effectiveness, and guide responsive action planning. Design and deliver high-impact professional learning experiences while providing job-embedded coaching and support to staff. Facilitate the development and evaluation of curriculum guides, coordinate district-wide staff development, and prepare long-range plans and reports for administration and the board. Supervise support staff, evaluate program strengths and weaknesses, and implement policies related to federal, state, and local regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from accredited university with a major in assigned subject
  • Valid Texas Supervisor, Mid-Management or Standard Principal certificate preferred
  • Creative and strategic thinker with knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
  • Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Five (5) years' of successful experience as a teacher or supervisor in subject area assigned
  • Gifted/Talented (GT) Certification required for Advanced Academic Services
  • Bilingual/ESL Certification required for Multi-Language Program

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Supervisor, Mid-Management or Standard Principal certificate preferred
  • Experience implementing or supporting high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), curriculum implementation, instructional coaching, and/or professional learning systems preferred
  • Experience supporting diverse student populations in an urban school district preferred
  • Demonstrated success improving student achievement outcomes through instructional leadership and coaching practices preferred
  • Varied grade level experience preferred
  • Instructional leadership experience as a specialist, Model Classroom Teacher (MCT), teacher leader, PLC facilitator, or similar position preferred
