Job Summary

Lead delivery of Mental Health and Children & Parenting programs; provide operational leadership, clinical and practice support, and supervision to a multidisciplinary team delivering early intervention and family support services to children, young people and families. Oversees day-to-day service delivery, supports continuous improvement, contributes to program development, ensures services meet contractual, organisational and quality standards, and builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen pathways and outcomes. Requires a Degree in Social Work (or recognised equivalent) with eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers, extensive experience with complex needs including mental health, crisis or child protection, demonstrated leadership in supervising staff, knowledge of child development, parenting support, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, and family functioning, strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience with client management systems and Microsoft Office, and a commitment to child safe practice and culturally safe, family-centred services.

Required Qualifications

  • A Degree in Social Work (or recognised equivalent) and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Extensive experience working with children, young people and families experiencing complex needs including mental health, crisis and/or child protection concerns
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising and supporting staff, students and volunteers within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong knowledge of child development, parenting support, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, and family functioning
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the sector
  • High level organisational and administrative skills, including experience using client management systems and Microsoft Office programs
  • A strong commitment to child safe practice, workplace health and safety, and delivering culturally safe, family-centred services
