Coordinator - Construction (3-year fixed term)

Job Summary
Monitor site activities and report progress against approved schedules while ensuring construction activities are completed to scope, on time, and within budget. Promote safety, health, and environmental awareness to prevent injuries, maintain daily records of works management, and ensure housekeeping around construction works meets high standards. Assist the Construction Superintendent in identifying resource skills, participate in schedule and estimate development, and manage contract approvals prior to work commencement. Actively participate in works under area of control to ensure no impact on the critical path and provide data for cost tracking and project reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years Project Construction experience
- Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar relevant tertiary qualification)
- Expertise in SMP (structural, mechanical, piping) disciplines
- Prior construction supervisory experience
- Underground experience is not required, but construction experience is essential
- With Experience and knowledge on machine commissioning and testing in collaboration with electrical aspects
- Strong results orientation and ability to consistently deliver against the plan
- Excellent planning, organizing and prioritization capabilities
- Must be amenable to 3-year fixed term
- This role requires regular physical activity
- occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds
- the ability to work in a mining environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
Desired Qualifications
- Formal training or Qualifications in MS Project desirable
