Job Summary
Coordinate internal media and marketing needs by scheduling players, facilitating interview requests, and creating pitches that elevate the club's brand. Manage match day logistics including credential processing, press box operations, and on-field photography spots for home games. Research, write, and edit media guides, rosters, and press releases while uploading materials to MLS portals. Serve as the PR representative on select road trips and collaborate with community relations to drive local coverage. Assist with administrative support and public relations efforts for LAFC2. This role reports to the VP, Communications, with a hybrid schedule of two in-office days per week. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/ University
- Prior experience in sports communications or public relations at the professional or collegiate level
- Solid knowledge of Major League Soccer (MLS), statistics and soccer terminology
- Strong storytelling ability to optimize team messaging and storylines
- Detail-oriented, driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Positive and optimistic attitude to lead and inspire other departments
- Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires
- Ability to obtain or possess a valid, current U.S. passport and be able to travel with the team as needed
- Work authorization in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship by the employer for a visa
