Job Summary
Oversee clinical care for a patient group by providing specific assessments, treatments, and patient education while prioritizing direct supervision of RNs, CNAs, and HUCs. Collaborate with physicians, the Department Director, and the Medical Director to address patient needs, achieve quality metrics, and foster a culture of purposeful rounding and AIDET. Manage staff development through inservices, orientation, and performance coaching, while assisting in hiring, time tracking, and annual appraisals. Lead performance improvement, Lean activities, and policy maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and the Idaho Nursing Practice Act. Maintain regular communication with the department, attend assigned meetings, and provide leadership during the Director's absences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Registered Nurse
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical in acute care
- Minimum of two (2) years in the specialty area of practice
