Job Summary
Coordinating Producer for The Moment with Katy Tur, overseeing rundown management, live reporting requests, and editorial supervision; write show scripts including readers and breaking news updates; serve as main back-up Senior Producer; supervise and copy edit segment producers’ scripts; originate story ideas; coordinate cross-platform large news events and special coverage; must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years in live television; location in New York, NY with hybrid work arrangement; strong journalistic judgment and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in live television, preferably as a Line and/or Segment Producer
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics and history
- Experienced writing scripts at the network or cable level
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
