Job Summary
Coordinate 140+ Detroit Tigers and 70+ Red Wings telecasts by acting as the central liaison between on-air talent, internal IS+E stakeholders, and external MLB/NHL partners for scheduling, planning, and execution. Lead pre-production meetings, editorial reviews, and the creation of graphics and video packages while developing broadcast standards and production calendars. Serve as a hands-on producer for select games to troubleshoot live issues and ensure all content meets editorial, technical, and compliance standards. Manage in-game sponsored inventory with the sales team and contribute to the television production budget process. Champion innovation in storytelling and fan engagement features to elevate viewer experience across platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in live sports television production
- Proven leadership and project-management skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Deep knowledge of MLB and NHL rules, broadcasting best practices, and current industry trends
- Technical proficiency with production tools (cameras, switchers, editing systems, graphics platforms, codecs, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret broadcast metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Strong problem-solving skills
