Job Summary
Plan and oversee recruitment, training, and retention for the Safety, Security, & Parking Department. Coordinate all department training, including orientations, security academies, and ongoing education, while delivering workplace violence training for HH Health System. Partner with leadership to organize department events, recognition activities, and meetings. Manage a fast-paced environment requiring frequent task prioritization, assertive yet courteous policy enforcement, and strong customer service communication. Maintain required certifications such as Heart Saver CPR and specific defensive driving or taser instructor credentials within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must possess a driver's license
- Must be insurable by HH standards
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must possess the ability to enforce policies in an assertive, yet courteous manner
- Must possess above average computer skills
- Must be very well organized
- Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in a comparable security, training, human resource, or customer service operation
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in law, law enforcement, public safety, marketing, human resources or business related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience in health care setting
