Job Summary
Executive Director opportunity at Cooper House in Seattle, WA. Lead one of the region’s leading integrated infant and early childhood mental health organizations through a transition to nonprofit status, overseeing organizational leadership, operations, fundraising, external relations, and strategic planning while maintaining the organization’s clinical integrity and mission. The role requires relationship-centered leadership, the ability to inspire staff and partners, and accountability for sustaining high-quality IECMH services, workforce development, and community impact. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative leadership style, experience guiding nonprofit growth, fundraising success, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice, with frequent in-person engagement and occasional travel. The position is full-time and salary-range $190,000-$220,000 DOE, with expectations of in-person presence and availability for occasional evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Experience leading nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Proven fundraising and external-relations experience
- Ability to translate strategy into priorities, goals, and sustainable systems
- Experience with strategic planning and financial management
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and culturally responsive practice
- Excellent communication skills and public speaking ability
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends with travel as needed
