Job Summary
The Cooling Specialist executes cooling workflows with chef teams in the CookUnity Facility, oversees cooling logs for all items, ensures items are cooled to designated temperatures, monitors temperature equipment, performs batch cooling, and prepares cooling records for regulators and auditors. They collaborate with the Food Safety team to train staff on cooling practices, deliver compliance reports with recommendations, track cooling metrics, and maintain continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience working in a high compliance food processing facility (USDA, FDA) or large volume food business with established food safety programs
- Experience working with a team in a production environment
- Good communication skills and ability to speak professionally to a wide range of partners and stakeholders
- Ability to build relationships and explain food safety concepts in plain language
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties without direct supervision
- Proficiency G Suite/Google Workspace
