Job Summary
Conduct precision mechanical assembly and adhesive application for Cooler production while performing required cleaning, documenting, and testing of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods. Utilize production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment for material and WIP tracking, identifying and documenting discrepant material. Perform measurements and tests from procedures, enter data for travelers, and assist Engineering in developmental processes as necessary. Complete several cleaning operations and miscellaneous support functions. Work the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm), with potential initial training during the 1st shift.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate orally, read, and write using the English language
- Ability to work using hands and have good manual dexterity with attention to detail
- Basic computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must be able to visually inspect small parts
- Must be able to use small hand tools like tweezers, hex keys, and probes/picks
- Must be able to use a microscope
- Must be able to use hands to move and assemble very small parts and fastening devices
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
- 2nd shift work schedule is 3:00pm-11:30pm
- For the first months, 2nd shift new hires may need to train during the 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm
- Additionally, there maybe a requirement to come in during 1st shift hours for new training, on a temporary basis, as needed
- There will be flexibility to start time during new training
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years related experience with electro-mechanical assembly desired
- Ability to read and understand written test procedures
