Job Summary
Provide accurate/timely food service to meet our guests' needs while in compliance with federal, state and local requirements that are more extensive and detailed than from chain restaurants. Follow menus and prepare food and beverages to prevent infection and harm to the most vulnerable population. Organize duties to complete tray service in a timely manner. Assure kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized according to Federal and State dietary procedures. Store food in compliance with dietary procedures according to Federal Skilled Nursing Facility Guidelines. The role requires three years of cooking experience, ability to understand instructions in English, understand measurements and conversions, and knowledge of kitchen equipment. The position includes full-time benefits and competitive pay; in-person kitchen work in a Skilled Nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution
- Ability to understand and following instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to understand measurements and conversions
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
