Cooks and Dietary Workers Nursing Home Experience

Prepares food according to standardized recipes, tastes items for quality control, and serves meals while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safe food-handling procedures. Assists in meal and snack preparation, delivers trays to resident floors, assembles meal trays, and handles dish room and pot sink duties. Sweeps, mops, and manages trash and recyclables while following proper cleaning techniques for all equipment and work areas. Performs other job-related duties as required. Requires a high school diploma or GED with one year of long-term care, hospital, or healthcare experience preferred. Full-time and part-time day and evening shifts with alternating weekends and holidays available.
