Job Summary
Cook assists the head cook in preparing food orders for the restaurant and ensures smooth kitchen operations. Reads and follows written orders, prepares menu items, slices meats, uses knives and pans, communicates with front-of-house staff regarding guest orders, stocks and inventories food items, notifies the head cook of shortages, adheres to portion and quality standards, conducts end-of-shift duties (washing fridges, cleaning, disposing garbage), and maintains a clean, safe kitchen per health guidelines. Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds; knowledge of health and safety procedures and basic math is required.
Required Qualifications
