Job Summary
Cook to prepare meals for a remote workforce hospitality operation serving guests on-site at a premier workforce lodging and hospitality community near Pampa, TX. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and production schedules, setting up and maintaining workstations, measuring and preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, ensuring portions and presentation meet guidelines, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and collaborating with team members to deliver an excellent guest experience. Must have reliable transportation to commute daily to the remote worksite roughly 30 minutes east of Pampa, Texas. Previous kitchen experience in line, prep, restaurant, camp, or related culinary roles required; ability to obtain required food safety certifications; strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Food Service Cook, Restaurant Cook, Camp Cook, or related culinary position required
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking techniques
- Ability to safely prepare food using a variety of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, storage, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to obtain required food safety certifications
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute daily to a remote worksite located approximately 30 minutes east of Pampa, Texas
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical job duties including lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
