Job Summary
Cook responsible for preparing meals for residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines. You will ensure the quality and temperature of food items, maintain safety and sanitary conditions, and follow applicable company policies to provide excellent service to residents and their families. The role requires basic arithmetic, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to read, write, and speak English in a healthcare setting. Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and be a dependable, professional team player is essential. Work schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must have ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements and follow written and oral instructions.
- Cook experience preferred but not required. A willingness to learn is needed.
- Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.
- Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required.
