Job Summary
Prepare quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests, and employees in accordance with standardized recipes. Setup work stations and distribute prepared food to all service areas while restocking items as needed. Comply with all applicable rules, policies, and guidelines related to employment. Clean and maintain stations, kitchen, and equipment by practicing good safety, sanitation, and organization skills. Requires 3+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume full-service dining environment, Florida SafeStaff certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Full-time 12:00–8:30 PM shift at Westminster Bradenton, a 5-star waterfront retirement community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- 3 or more year's culinary experience in a high volume full service dining environment
- Must be willing to receive the influenza (flu) vaccination
- Full understanding of basic food preparation methods and cooking techniques in quantity food production
- Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office and data type programs
