Job Summary
The Cook prepares food according to the approved menu and guidelines, ensuring high-quality food service. Responsibilities include serving meals, assisting with special dietary requests, maintaining sanitary regulations, and managing food storage. The Cook will procure food supplies, support inventory management, ensure compliance with safety standards, and assist in meal preparation for residents and special events. This position requires a valid Serv Safe Manager’s Certificate and a Food Handler’s permit, with a high school diploma preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting
- Must have criminal record clearance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
