Job Summary
Cook at American Senior Communities responsible for preparing meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs, following recipes and menus, leading kitchen staff, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards in a on-site Indianapolis, IN facility. Role includes preparing nutritionally adequate meals in appropriate quantities, managing food preparation, storage, and equipment, and ensuring compliance with department procedures and state/federal regulations; benefits include opportunities for career growth and various employee programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, unless required by State and Federal agencies. Certifications can be earned while employed with ASC.
- Preferred: Prior Institutional and/or Healthcare service experience.
