Job Summary
Line Cook at Trustwell Living in the Dietary Services department. Prepares and serves meals for large groups, reads and follows recipes, maintains sanitation and safety standards, rotates stock and checks deliveries when supervisor is away, supports other departments, and contributes to resident satisfaction. Duties include portioning meals, presenting attractive plates, responding to feedback, working with elderly residents, and maintaining professional appearance. Shifts are part-time with weekends; requires teamwork, flexibility, and clear communication.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups.
- Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner for residents.
- Must enjoy working with the elderly and all who associate with them. Must be able to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common illnesses without exposing them to additional health risks.
