Job Summary
Prepare and present foods for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions under direct supervision of the Chef. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and HACCP standards by proactively cleaning assigned areas and consistently finishing daily paperwork including cleaning lists, specials lists, and temperature charts. Complete assigned tasks within time frames while utilizing recipes to prepare modified texture and fat/salt foods accurately. Provide rotational job ability by cross-training and working other positions in the production area to improve departmental performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year in prior TriHealth Nutrition role
- Quantity food service preparation
- Good cooking techniques
- Proper use of equipment
- Able to utilize recipes
- Able to prepare modified texture and modified fat/salt food accurately and flavorfully
- Provides rotational job ability
- Cross-training
- Improving skills needed for optimal job performance
- Works other positions in the production area
- Knowledge of other staff responsibilities
- Communicates and actively works with employees, managers & supervisors to fix departmental problems
- Proactive in resolving internal issues and bringing them to managers attention
- Keeps manager well informed of any issues that are unresolved issues
- Actively communicates and works well with other employees to meet the end goal of better serving the patients and customers
- Is proactive in regularly cleaning assigned areas
- Maintains the cleanliness, safety, sanitation and HACCP standards
- Consistently finishes daily paperwork as assigned per position
