Job Summary
Cook position at The Residence at Voorhees with a full-time 11:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule. Responsibilities include delivering restaurant-style dining, collaborating with Culinary Services Director/Executive Director, assisting with supervision of culinary staff, preparing meals per established recipes and menus, maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and storage areas, managing opening/closing of the kitchen, following cleaning schedules, ensuring proper food receipt, storage and preparation, estimating daily/weekly food and supply needs, assisting with special events and banquets, and supporting transportation/storage of food and supplies. Requires ability to read/ follow recipes, operate kitchen equipment, and provide excellent customer service to residents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Serve Safe Certification
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
- Able to read and follow recipes and production guides, cleaning schedules and logs
