Job Summary
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with facility menus and dietary requirements. Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control procedures. Prepare food for regular, therapeutic, and special diets as directed. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards. Assist with food preparation, storage, and inventory as needed. Support overall dietary department operations and meal service schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to providing quality service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
