Job Summary
The Cook performs semi-skilled work preparing and serving school meals, operates kitchen equipment and cleans work areas, and performs custodial duties. Requires knowledge of food preparation methods and equipment, ability to maintain sanitary conditions, and has responsibilities including receiving and stocking food supplies, preparing and transporting food, and acting as a cashier. The position requires the physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in high temperatures, and maintain effective relationships with students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the State of Iowa.
