Job Summary
In a correctional facility kitchen in Braithwaite, LA, supervise and coordinate the work of culinary staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality meals. Instruct and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensure meals begin on time, and monitor portion, appearance, and temperature of all items. Requires at least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch-cooking environment and experience supervising a team. Food Handlers certification is preferred. Compensation: $17.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and other employee programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
- Experience supervising a team
