Job Summary
Cook Supervisor at Gardner Heights in Shelton, CT. Supervises dietary department personnel, ensures adherence to policies, contributes to performance evaluations, and assists with production planning, forecasting, and purchasing. Prepares and serves meals per residents' diet orders, operates kitchen equipment, and communicates with residents, staff, and families. Requires Serv Safe Manager certification and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; 32 hours weekly. Provides ongoing oversight when Dietary Manager is unavailable and supports event planning and budgetary guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification
- Must be able to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights as well as lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math calculations, measure and record data.
