Job Summary
Cook in the Food Service Department responsible for preparing daily meals, checking deliveries, and maintaining a safe/clean kitchen. Duties include setting up, cleaning and organizing workstations; preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, seasoning); cooking and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; checking all orders delivered; proper storage and rotation of products; maintaining walk-in cooler/freezer per health regulations; assisting other cooks and team members; picking up supply orders at the Food Bank; and observing health and safety requirements. Requires CPR/Heimlich as needed, flexible schedule including 1st and 2nd shifts with weekends/holidays; may involve travel for business; Serve Safe Certification is required; High School diploma or GED preferred; minimum one year cooking experience; valid driver’s license.
