Job Summary
The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking orders for daily operations, minimizing food waste, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, assisting with inventory, and promoting teamwork with other departments. This position requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously, utilizing communication and basic math skills, and adhering to sanitation standards. Required qualifications include at least one year of kitchen experience and a knowledge of cooking techniques. Applicants should be able to lift heavy items and may work flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking on a fast paced kitchen line
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities for recipe preparation
- Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification
- Food service permit or valid health/food handler card
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds
