Cook / Small Plates Prep

Position in Velvet Tango Room's small plates kitchen focusing on preparation, plating, and presentation of meat and cheese boards and rotating small plates. Working Fri & Sat nights, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Part-time role with pay of $15/hour. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen; setting up and maintaining workstations; preparing and arranging meat and cheese boards and other small plates; following recipes, plating standards, and presentation guidelines; preparing ingredients with proper techniques; checking ingredient freshness; labeling and rotating products; maintaining equipment and supplies; washing and organizing dishes; keeping the kitchen clean during service; and communicating with bartenders and staff to ensure smooth service. Requirements include understanding food safety procedures, strong attention to detail and organization, ability to multitask during busy service, reliability, teamwork, and strong communication skills. This position emphasizes food preparation, presentation, organization, and being part of a passionate hospitality team without traditional cooking equipment.
