Job Summary
Cook for a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility at Friendship Village (Life Plan Community) in Chesterfield, MO. Prepare all food items per standardized recipes, including soups, stocks, sauteed, fried, and baked items. Requires a minimum of three years’ cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution; ability to read/write English, perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, follow instructions, plan and organize work, interpret recipes and standards, work with others, and operate kitchen equipment. Shifts available 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:30 PM. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 and benefits including On-Demand Pay, PTO, Pet Insurance, career advancement, and retirement plan. Location: Chesterfield, Missouri, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years’ experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions in English
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Ability to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
- Ability to work with others
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
