Job Summary
Cook responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of foods per production guidelines and standardized recipes. Responsibilities include setting up workstations, measuring and preparing ingredients, using kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers), applying diverse cooking methods (bake, roast, broil, steam), portioning and garnishing, storing foods per safety policies, maintaining sanitary work areas, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to safety procedures. Potentially assigned to varying duties depending on location; role emphasizes contribution to a collaborative kitchen environment and supporting health-care-focused food safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Valid food safety knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and sanitation
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
