Job Summary

Dietary Cook / Lead Cook at a senior-living community with a rotating schedule (4 days on, 2 days off). Responsible for preparing meals for regular and therapeutic diets using planned menus and standardized recipes, maintaining food safety and sanitation, accurately recording temperatures, assisting with menu execution for events, managing inventory, labeling and storing items, and supporting kitchen staff training. Requires 3–5 years of professional cooking experience, ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment, and strong teamwork mindset. SERVSAFE certification is a strong plus. The role emphasizes high-quality dining experiences for residents and collaboration within the dietary department.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional cooking experience
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, catering, restaurant, hotel, country club, or high-volume food service environments preferred
  • Ability to prepare multiple menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • SERVSAFE Certification is a strong plus!
