Job Summary
Cook in a healthcare dining services setting at Kendal at Oberlin for 40 hrs/week (full-time). Responsibilities include relieving AM/PM cooks, cooking, following recipes, maintaining sanitation, producing items per recipes, tracking production, attending kitchen meetings, and assisting in other areas as needed. Duties include opening/closing kitchen, supervising on-shift staff with production needs, and ensuring proper temperatures, portions, garnishes. Rotating morning/evening shifts with weekends and holidays as needed. Requires ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire and ability to lift up to 60 pounds; prior experience in large-volume cooking and healthcare/retirement community environment preferred; reading/writing English required.
Required Qualifications
- two (2) years experience in large volume cooking
- Experience cooking in a healthcare facility or retirement community preferred
- Servsafe certification within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to read and write English
