Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and serve adequate, nutritious meals including meats, fish, vegetables, and desserts according to scheduled menus and dietary guidelines. Handle food preparation tasks such as peeling, washing, and cutting produce and trimming meats, while monitoring portion controls and ensuring proper food-handling techniques. Comply with meal schedules, follow standard recipes, and taste food to ensure conformity with appearance and flavor requirements. Serve trays by checking for completeness and accuracy before distribution.
