Job Summary
Cook needed for Avamere at Mountain Ridge's Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living communities. Responsibilities include serving meals that are palatable and visually appealing, inspecting diet trays with the facility dietician, coordinating food service with other departments, ensuring availability of food and supplies for upcoming meals, maintaining and reviewing menus prior to preparation, and assisting in serving meals as needed. Requires 18+ years old, a High School diploma or equivalent, experience in an Assisted Living or related Health Care Community, a food handlers’ card, ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities, and knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures. This is a full-time, day-shift role with weekend availability; wage is $18-$20/hour DOE. The role is on-site in South Ogden, UT.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High-School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Assisted Living or other related Health Care Community
- Must have a food handlers’ card
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
- Must be knowledgeable of food preparation procedures
- Must have knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures and rules
