Job Summary
Cook role in an Assisted Living dietary department: prepare and serve appealing, nourishing meals to residents; adhere to dietary menus and SHO policies; assist with substitutions and special meals; support setup, service, and cleanup; maintain sanitation and safety, inventory, and nutrition-focused service; follow training on safe food handling, infection control, and resident rights; collaborate with staff to deliver quality dietary service and clear communication in English.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary training preferred
- 2-3 years kitchen experience
- English proficiency (read/write/speak)
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions
- knowledge of safe food preparation and storage
- infection control knowledge
