Job Summary
Cook/Satellite Production and Utility for Grand Rapids Public Schools in the Food and Nutrition department. Responsible for the efficient operation of the assigned food service area, ensuring nutritious meals prepared and served daily, proper food handling, maintaining records, placing orders, upholding sanitation standards, attending meetings, interacting positively with scholars, parents, staff and community, and demonstrating dependable attendance and punctuality; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current Accredited Kitchen Manager Certification or the ability to receive within 90 days of hire
- Must have adequate reading and mathematical abilities
- Ability to accomplish required work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain accurate ordering and inventory records
- Ability to work in a professional/courteous manner with scholars and staff
- Ability to participate as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a diverse environment
