Job Summary
Prepare food items using standardized recipes and coordinate meal production with serving hours to meet menu requirements. Ensure dietary needs are prepared as directed by resident menus and that temperatures, taste, and quality meet minimum guidelines. Maintain appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards; assist with orientation and training of new kitchen staff; follow safety, loss prevention, and documented procedures (temperature logs, taste panel forms, cleaning schedules); comply with local, state, and federal food-handling policies; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience as cook preparing full line of menu items.
- Able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
