Cook

Prepare and cook meals for residents, visitors, and guests according to menus, dietary restrictions, and portion counts while maintaining sanitation standards. Clean and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas, compile food use records, and take inventory of supplies. Direct staff activities, requisition food and equipment based on future needs, and rotate perishable products. Plan varied, nutritionally balanced menus using seasonal and local foods. Train new employees and participate in department meetings and training. Follow Presbyterian Villages policies, safety procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations. Operate a computer, perform simple math calculations, and interpret menus and recipes. Available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
