Job Summary
Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes for the Cafe Room Service, Banquets, and Associate Cafeteria while maintaining the highest standards for an appealing product. Handle cold foods, shellfish slicing, meat preparation, and coffee or tea brewing. Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio. Maintain regular attendance, proper grooming, and compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations. Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to opening and maintain post on kitchen lines during operating hours. Breakdown buffets and kitchen lines at the end of each meal period and assist in storage and rotation of food items. Work banquet food stations as scheduled and sign keys out and back in under supervision. Attend meetings as required by management and perform any other duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and/or accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be able to operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
- Must maintain the 'Clean As You Go' policy
- Must know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- Must practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other associates
- Must be able to attend meetings as required by management
- Must be able to sign keys out and back in under supervision as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
