Job Summary
Cook/Sous Chef role for Century Park Associates' kitchen serving seniors; responsibilities include preparing meals from standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation and safety in accordance with state/county regulations, ensuring timely meal services, managing portions and leftovers to reduce costs, assisting with special meals/events, supervising in the absence of the Dining Services Director, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced residential dining environment. Skills emphasized: scratch cooking, nutrition-focused preparation, operation of kitchen equipment (steamer, oven, grill, slicer, grinder, dishwasher), portion control, inventory/stock assistance, adherence to recipes, and strong communication and teamwork with a hospitality focus.
Required Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 1 year scratch food preparation experience
- Must have prior experience regularly preparing meals for large groups
- Must be ServSafe certified
