Job Summary
Maintain system to ensure timely meal services by checking daily menus and special events calendars to secure necessary supplies. Prepare nutritious meals meeting nutritional requirements and garnish plates to enhance the dining experience using standardized recipes and authorized substitutions. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining coolers and freezers with proper labeling and sanitation. Assist with supervisory duties in the absence of the Dining Services Director and manage daily cleaning assignments to keep the work environment sanitized.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year scratch food preparation experience
- Prior experience regularly preparing meals for large groups
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to enjoy serving seniors
- Excellent customer service and hospitality
- Trustworthiness and dependability
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good planning skills
- Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards
