Job Summary
Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in accordance with laws, regulations, and company standards. Check daily menus and special events calendars to ensure necessary food and supplies are available, then garnish plates and season food appropriately to enhance the dining experience. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining coolers and freezers properly. Assist with supervisory duties in the absence of the Dining Services Director, manage special meals, and resolve resident complaints graciously. Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. ServSafe certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year scratch food preparation experience
- Prior experience regularly preparing meals for large groups
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to enjoy serving seniors
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
- Ability to demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate good planning skills
- Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards
- Ability to receive and resolve complaints graciously
- Ability to be responsive to resident requests
- Ability to display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park's Code of Ethics and complete all required compliance training
- Ability to be available Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Ability to be available Monday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Ability to be available Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
