Job Summary
Cook/Prep Cook needed at Avon Health Center for Part Time (20-24 hours per week). Responsibilities include day-to-day cooking duties, following current standards, adhering to sanitation policies, preparing food per standardized recipes, and following therapeutic diets as ordered. Requires 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees; Serv-Safe is a plus. Must communicate effectively, work independently or as part of a team, and operate in a fast-paced environment; ability to stand for long periods and lift/move equipment. 20-24 hours weekly including every other weekend; English communication required; main focus on safe food temperatures and proper food presentation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees
- Serv-Safe is a plus
- Ability to speak, write and understand English
- Follow Therapeutic Diets ordered by physician
- Ensure proper food temps
- Follow standardized recipes
- Adhere to sanitation and storage policies and procedures
- Demonstrate correct safety techniques
- Work 20-24 hours per week including every other weekend
