Job Summary
Cook to prepare meals per cycle menus and ensure proper food handling, service and sanitation. Responsibilities include coordinating food preparation and meal service, monitoring hot/cold food temperatures, planning cooking schedules, maintaining sanitation and safety procedures, assisting with inventory and receiving, ensuring compliance with federal/state/community regulations, attending meetings and in-service trainings, and following infection control and disaster procedures. Preferred qualifications include culinary training and Serv Safe certification within the first year. The role supports a senior living community with multiple campuses and shift coverage from 10:30a to 7:00p.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Culinary training preferred
- Serv Safe certification must be completed in the first year of employment
- Minimum one year food service experience in a health care dietary setting is desired
