Job Summary
Cook prepares world-famous chicken to order or kept warm, operates large-volume cooking equipment (griddles, grills, deep fryers), handles food prep and cooking per orders, verifies quality/quantity of orders, maintains sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires ability to read order slips or follow verbal directions, work quickly and efficiently, collaborate with a team, and maintain personal cleanliness; must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training or familiarity with basic food safety regulations and cooking procedures is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly
- Must be able to work well as part of a team
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness
