Job Summary
Prepare and cook high-quality food items for events at the Pensacola baseball stadium, including running food on game-days. Follow prep lists, measure ingredients, and prepare cooking components like soup stock as directed by the Executive Chef. Set up and sanitize workstations, ensure proper food storage, and maintain cooling room temperatures. Supervise kitchen cleanliness and safety, adhering to all sanitation protocols and food safety practices. Assist chefs with culinary tasks and perform other related duties as required. This seasonal/part-time role involves working throughout the culinary department during event operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen
- High School diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certified or is available to receive training
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Must understand food safety practices including, but not limited to, TCS, temperature logs, and cleaning/sanitizing
- Planning and multi-tasking
- Self-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication
- Availability to work all home baseball games
- Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadium
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Must be able to lift up-to 40 pounds at times
