Job Summary
Cook and serve meals, snacks, and therapeutic diets daily using commercial and non-commercial kitchen equipment according to facility cycle menus. Purchase raw food and supplies from approved vendors while adhering to budgetary guidelines and facility policies for storage, preparation, and handling. Maintain personal hygiene to prevent foodborne illnesses and tailor meal services to each resident's goals, preferences, and abilities. Must be 18 years of age, able to cook in large quantities, and provide proof of immunity to MMR, Varicella, and Influenza. One year of institutional cooking experience is preferred. Woodlands Senior Living is the first accredited senior living organization in New England.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
- Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, Varicella and Influenza
- Strong command of the English language with the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of institutional cooking experience is preferred
