Job Summary
Cook prepares and plates both hot and cold menu items to the Timber’s quality standards, follows recipes for presentations and garnishes, sets up stations, monitors ingredient quality and temperatures, and ensures sanitation and health-compliant kitchen operations. The role covers opening/closing checklists, maintaining cleanliness, supervising dishwashing, restocking, and coordinating with hotel standards while working Tuesday–Saturday evenings in Gatlinburg, TN. Requires 1+ year line cook or catering cook experience, HS diploma or GED, ABC permit and ServeSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum of one year line cook or catering cook experience (required)
- Must be at least 18 years of age (required)
- Valid ABC permit or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment (required)
- Valid ServeSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment (required)
- Strong understanding of food prep, safety, and kitchen operations
- Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and health regulations
- Excellent communication; team-oriented and adaptable
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift up to 55lbs
