Job Summary
Cook/Culinary Associate needed at Watercrest Richmond in Moseley, VA. Provide a Watercrest Culinary Experience by conducting meal preparation, service, and cleanup in accordance with nutritional guidelines and prescribed resident diets. Maintain proper use of cooking appliances, assist with emergency food supplies, communicate with culinary vendors, and ensure presence in the dining room for resident satisfaction. Support adaptive equipment for residents when necessary and present dishes, utensils, and pots in an attractive, gracious, and timely manner. Perform pre-preparation for meals for later in the day, week, or for events; report equipment or supply needs to the Executive Chef. Deliver high-level culinary customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized cooking area. Must wear company uniform and be resident-ready at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- SERV Safe (Required)
- Two (2) years’ experience in professional food service
- A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
